In years past McDonalds has offered local menu items in the form of spam and eggs, loco moco, saimin, etc. We noticed that this practice has faded, obviously because the Locals know better.

In a curious nod to Hawaiian cuisine, however, McDonalds was featuring a taro pie which looked and tasted suspiciously like the strawberry rhubarb pie your grandmother used to make.
