Kauai's Kalalau Trail is justly famous. It starts here at Ke'e Beach - the end of Hwy 56 - and stretches for 11 precipitous miles of switchbacks, valleys, and waterfalls.

We've made it two miles to the first valley and beach - Hanakapi'ai. Without food and water, that's as far as our legs were willing to take us. A more exciting way to see the Na Pali coast is a Zodiac ride, holding on for dear life as it bucks and rides the afternoon swells.
