After the Waimea Canyon Overlook the road is rutted and pot-holed, but those who elect to punish their rental cars further are rewarded with this view at the Kalalau Valley Overlook.

The last time we reached this overlook the bushes in the foreground had been thinned away. Not so this time - cutting off some of the view. We were grateful, however, that clouds hadn't moved in to obscure what was left of it.
