We tagged along on a Sierra Club hike to Ho'opi'i Falls. This stream and falls are in a gorgeous canyon west of Kapa'a. Were it not for our intrepid guide we never would have found this area.

After some morning rain the trail was wet and slippery, causing everyone to "turf it" at least once. Unfortunately, the pool at the base of the falls was too murky for swimming, but the hike itself was an experience not to be missed!
